60 years of battle celebrated

The Indian Army is celebrating sixty years of battle at Walong administrative town of Arunachal Pradesh this month. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense, on the Twitter handle @SpokespersonMoD, added that the Battle of Walong remains a shining example of unparalleled bravery, guts & sacrifice by soldiers fighting the Chinese onslaught in 1962. The month-long celebration was inaugurated by the GOC of the Spear Corps, Indian Army, by paying homage at the war memorial.
