Armed valley groups attack village Haraothel; Indian Army responds

In an incident today, armed valley based groups opened fire without provocation towards Village Haraothel.  The incident occurred at around 5:30 AM, causing concern throughout the region. The Indian Army promptly deployed troops to address the situation and prevent further violence.

According to the Army, as the troops advanced towards the location, they faced effective gunfire from the armed rioters after which the Indian Army responded in a calibrated manner to minimise collateral damage.

Reports suggest there may be casualties resulting from the exchange. Although the casualties are yet to be confirmed, reports indicate there have been accounts of large crowds gathering in the area, raising concerns for public safety. Additionally, authorities are maintaining close surveillance of the situation and have deployed additional units to the affected area.
