Chumi Gyatse

The Story of the Chumi Gyatse (Part One)

The Chumi Gyatse, also known as the “Holy Waterfalls”, is nothing less than nature’s paradise on earth. A collection of 108 waterfalls, it lies approximately 250 kilometers from the India-China border in the Yangtse area along the McMohan Line. The water here is considered as ‘Amrit'(nectar) by the Monpas and is used to cure people of sickness besides many other amazing folklore associated with it. A true Buddhist cultural heritage, Chumi Gyatse is fast becoming hugely popular with nature lovers, trekkers, writers, and tourists.
