In a significant demonstration of its ongoing commitment to the welfare of veterans, Veer Naris, and their families, Gajraj Corps of the Indian Army organised a mega ex-servicemen rally at Tenga Military station, Arunachal Pradesh, on June 14 2025.

The event was graced by the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd), who attended alongside the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Gajraj Corps, the GOC Ball of Fire Division, and numerous military and civil dignitaries. Over 800 veterans, Veer Naris, Veerangnas, and their dependents participated in the rally, underlining the deep bonds that exist within the extended Army family.

The rally featured robust participation from organizations such as the Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO), Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Directorate of Indian Army Veterans (DIAV), Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Jorhat, the State Resettlement Office, and various departments of the state administration. Grievance Redressal Cells were established on site to address the concerns of attendees, while a Medical and Blood Donation Camp further exemplified the Army’s commitment to veteran welfare. The program was enriched with vibrant cultural displays celebrating the spirit of service and community.

This periodic outreach initiative, jointly conducted by the Indian Army and the State Administration, serves not only to honour the veterans and their families but also to reaffirm their continuing role in nation building. The event stands as a testament to the unflinching loyalty and selfless service of India’s ex-servicemen and their invaluable contribution to the country.
