In a recent statement, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu, announced progress in resolving border disputes between the Indian states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. The announcement comes following the signing of the Namsai Declaration, a joint agreement aimed at addressing and resolving ongoing border disputes between the two states.

During a meeting with regional committees from the Dhemaji and Lower Siang Districts, led by the Honorable Assam Public Health Engineering Minister Shri Jayanta Malla and the Honorable Industries Minister Shri Tumke Bagra, respectively, Khandu stated that he is pleased with the progress made and is optimistic about the future.

“We are moving ahead in resolving border issues between Assam and Arunachal, and the signing of the Namsai Declaration was a significant step in that direction,” said Khandu. “I am glad to have met with the regional committees and look forward to continuing our collaboration towards a peaceful and mutually beneficial resolution.”
