Tibetan activist, writer and poet Tenzin Tsundue who lives in exile in Dharamshala. He has been tirelessly working for the freedom of Tibet through his campaigns, writing and poems. Born to a Tibetan refugee family in India, Tenzin has been speaking fearlessly against China for its policies on Tibet and also around the world. He was arrested by China’s border police when he entered Tibet through Ladakh and imprisoned in Lhasa for three months, and later ‘pushed back’ to India. He was also detained in India for his campaigns during the visits of Chinese premiers in January 2002 and April 2005. Tenzin Tsundue’s writings have been published in Indian newspapers and magazines and also in the international media. He is also anthologized in Asian and International literary journals. He joined Friends of Tibet (India) in 1999 and campaigns among Indians to win support for Tibet.
