The author is a hydrologist, watershed scientist, and academic leader with over four decades of field experience across India. His work spans river hydrology, watershed management, groundwater systems, forest–water interactions, and climate-resilient landscape development. Currently serving in Northeast India as Vice Chancellor, Kaziranga University, Jorhat, Assam. He continues to engage with complex river systems, integrating science, field wisdom, and policy insight.
