The District Administration, Tawang, conducted a ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ Camp at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex, Tawang, as part of the Seva Aapke Dwar initiative.
The programme was aimed at making public services more accessible and ensuring that people could avail themselves of various government welfare schemes and essential services conveniently at a single venue.
The camp brought together officials and representatives from different government departments and service providers on a common platform.
Citizens were able to access essential public services, obtain information about government schemes, submit applications and complete necessary documentation and other formalities without having to approach different offices separately.
A range of welfare and citizen services were facilitated during the camp, including the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
Household electricity-related services, awareness and information on the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana, Scheduled Tribe (ST) Certificates, Permanent Residence Certificates (PRC) and Birth Certificates were also made available.
The camp also facilitated access to Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), Aadhaar enrolment and updation services and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) clinic facilities.
Participating departments also provided information and assistance relating to various other government schemes and departmental services, helping beneficiaries understand their eligibility and the procedures involved.
Officials and service providers interacted directly with beneficiaries, addressed their queries and assisted them with applications, documentation and other requirements.
The direct interaction was intended to make government procedures easier to navigate and reduce the need for citizens to make multiple visits to different offices.
Gaon Burahs, members of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Bazar Secretaries also participated in the camp alongside villagers and members of the general public.
Their involvement helped widen awareness about government schemes and services and strengthened the outreach of the programme at the local level.
The initiative also placed emphasis on awareness and participation among students.
Literary competitions, including essay writing, written competitions and debates, were organised for junior and senior categories at Government Upper Primary School, PWD Colony, Tawang.
The competitions encouraged students to participate in activities promoting awareness, expression and engagement with broader social and civic issues.
Earlier in the programme, In-charge Deputy Commissioner, Tawang, Rinchin Leta, administered a Non-Violence and Peace Pledge to the participants.
The pledge reaffirmed the values of peace, harmony and collective responsibility, adding a civic dimension to the public service initiative.
The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan Camp forms part of the District Administration’s continuing efforts to make governance more accessible, responsive and citizen-centric.
By bringing multiple services together at one location, the initiative seeks to reduce the difficulties faced by residents in accessing government offices and enable eligible beneficiaries to receive timely assistance.
The programme also reflects the broader objective of strengthening the last-mile delivery of government services in Tawang, where distance and accessibility can influence how easily people approach administrative institutions.
